Things seemed to be going a little better with the portraits now that Violetta had calmed down, though he could tell a couple of them were starting to get a little antsy. Class time was soon coming to an end anyway. As he walked around making sure everything was going alright, he noticed Hadley still sitting at the table she had been since the whole episode with the portrait. Of course, he wouldn't mind giving her a few minutes to compose herself but that didn't mean she could sit around and do nothing the rest of the class.

"Let's go, Hadley," he said firmly but with a smile. "Class is going to be over soon and I gave you an assignment to complete. I expect you to get working on it. You can choose a different portrait if you'd like." But sitting around while everyone else did the work was not tolerated in his class.

The Gryffindor knew of looooads of things that were more exciting to do than to be in a History of Magic class. He didn't even like history. What was the point in learning about such OLD things?? Those were modern daayyssss, he didn't need to know stuff about ancient people and happenings.
Sigh. And another student who apparently thought that he could just sit around and do nothing. Honestly, Ansley simply could not believe the level of laziness observed today from a few select students. Really, was asking a portrait a few questions and writing a short summary that difficult to do? Ridiculous.

"Get up, Mr. Meriwether." Ansley glanced at his nametag to make sure of his name. And no, he was NOT calling him Mr. Solo. "This activity is not optional. You may not lay on your desk instead of participate in class." And he was already losing time as class would be coming to an end soon so he'd better get a move on.

Still standing by Meriwether's desk, Ansley raised his voice a bit to get everyone's attention. "Listen up, real quick, everyone. Finish up with your questions please, I'm going to give you all a little bit of time to write your summaries. You can work with someone, or in a group, if you want to make sure you fill in any blanks about your portraits, then you can present your findings in your group." And he didn't care who presented or if they each did a portion, as long as they could tell the rest of the class about the person in the portrait.

OOC - I'm going to end this class in about 24 hours. You can continue to ask the portraits questions if you want, hopefully they should answer... Then RP your character writing up a summary/short essay - IC it will be turned in, but it should be in one of your posts - and also talking about it to the class. Any questions, let me know!
