Scratch that. There were people in this world that bred like bunnies. He'd be concerned if they DIDN'T know and didn't at least have some plan. This was a much smaller scale and didn't need a plan, it wasn't even meant to happen.
He took the hand she'd extended across the table, lightly rubbing his thumb along the back. "It's fine. You can still afford not to know." A part of him never wanted to know but this was hardly something you could ignore. It would grow and eventually it would come out to join them and they could all not know together. "It'll be alright you know." In case she didn't. Maybe not NOW--certainly not, just look at her face--but eventually. As suspected, his touch was enough to ease some of her nerves though they did remain. Somehow she didn't think this sensation was going to pass any time soon, and it had her wondering how it might in fact start impacting on her work. Circe knew she couldn't afford that right now, or ever.
She managed a small smile at Gavin's comforting words. It's fine. It'll be alright. All those things, were appreciated, every bit as much as his hand holding hers. It was like a warm embrace, a throw rug on a brisk night. "You're coming to the next appointment, and all of them, and we need to go over what I'm currently taking I'm not sure I can trust the man anymore." Honestly, she couldn't recall him giving any warning of what the potion could possibly negate. Nothing came to mind, and she wasn't the type to forget.
