Artemesia smiled at the excited little fan. She loved to share her passion with others who felt the same way. “Oh.. do you mean professionally? I thiiiink..” Oh her memory was just so terrible. “It was against the Harpies, yes.” She nodded now, certain of it. And that was the first time she had met that awful Cherrine Mc Fancie.

Potions happened to be the girl's worst subject.

"Oh ok... topically." Nod nod nod bounced his curls. "No, not using anything right now," he replied to the Potioneer's question as he ran his fingers through his hair "Just shampoo and some oil afterwards. But but..." because he really wants to have hair until he gets as old as this guy so urgent whispering now "... Do you have the ingredients and instructions on how to make your potion? I mean will it work for curly haired people like meeee?
Were they his friends? Augustus craned his neck into the corners of his frame to try to sneak a peek at the other portraits. “Well, I’ve never seen the women before..” But the one called Violetta was beautiful! Perhaps he could be introduced? He looked at her a tad longer before looking at the other men, squinting a bit. “Hmm, no, can’t say were friends, though I know of them.” There were so many portraits in this castle. “Why yes!” He beamed brightly at Rachel. “I.. or he.. discovered many uses for Bundimun in potion making, including brewing the very successful Bundimun Pomade!” He even ended up making it for a potion company where it was sold many years ago. “The instructions, of course.. I.. well.. I’m sure it’s in a textbook or potions book found in the library..” Well, that was slightly embarrassing, but unfortunately he was not actually Augustus Flume the person and could not hold all of his memories or details.

Hers was the piano!
As snobbish as she was, Violetta did not mind talking about her favorite subject, herself music. “How delightful,” she nodded to the young girl who was also musically gifted. “What have you and your mother performed?” She wouldn’t mind hearing a little bit about it, especially if it was relatable. “I suppose my favorite instrument is the piano.. no, the harp. Does anyone know how those two instruments are similar?” She did, by the way. “Hmm.. percussion instruments are not my favorite, but I’m able to play the drums if I need to.” With much restraint of course.

She was about to elaborate on just what instruments she did play, but then her eyes flashed at the boy who was obviously raised by wolves considering his utter lack of manners. “Insolent child! Remove your nasty and rude little self from the vicinity of my frame this instant!” She would not tolerate being spoken to in that way.

Wait, back to his original line of questioning. He had been going somewhere with that. "Why did you have a portrait painted? Was it because you did something interesting?" You never know. It was possible that he had just happened to have a portrait painted and only became famous after the fact. It seemed unlikely that someone would willingly sit for four hours without a good reason, but still possible.
”I do not know how the man Lucian Warrington died. That was after I was painted.” And he did not keep up with those details, it was insignificant to a portrait. He frowned a little at the boy. Had he not been listening when he was speaking? He essentially answered that when another asked something similar and he hated to repeat himself. “As I just said, I wrote an important piece of legislature after a significant battle warranted it be put into action.” Now if he wanted specifics, he needed to ask. These children needed to stop with shortcuts and making him do all their work for their assignment.

Does it feel.. two dimensional?"He didn't expect an answer to that one, as the moment he said it, he realized it was probably a little rude. He observed the man as he answered the other student's questions, and furled his brow, trying to come up with another - more appropriate - question to ask.

"Mr. Kegworth?" he found a quiet moment to ask his question. Rather inspired by Ava's earlier question about the reason Elliot had been painted in the first place, as he had intended on asking just that, he instead thought of something perhaps a little less relevant, but interesting to him nonetheless.

"Who painted you?"
”You are a very smart girl!” Elliot beamed at the girl who had guessed correctly. “Are you sure you are not a Ravenclaw?” But no, she wore the colors of Hufflepuff. “I actually helped to put that law into action as it was very needed at that time.” He gave a kind smile to the young Ravenclaw boy. “I suppose two-dimensional is a good way of putting that. It’s very limiting, but I’m also not a real person either so I don’t completely know the full value of that.” Even if he was a magical portrait of a person who once lived, he was merely a shadow of him. “Unfortunately I don’t remember the chap’s name, it was a very long time ago… but he was quite nice, if not a little quiet.”
