Oh there was movement and a little first year was now sitting near their group. Well…at their table. The brunette bounced up her and moved closer to the first year. “Hiiiii!” She waved excitedly. “I’m Melbourne, I don’t think we’ve met yet…” she smiled over to Jace.
Jace’s ears went pink...and so did his cheeks. It was quite weird to meet people from a different house, really. The Ravenclaw’s grin remained, but he sort of hid behind Rachel, not accustomed to energetic greetings and extroverted individuals in general. It didn’t mean that he doesn’t like her, just...a little bit shocked with the energy surrounding this girl.
It took Jace a few seconds to register that the girl was simply being friendly, and just wanted to be acquainted with him. There’s nothing wrong with that, right? The Ravenclaw slowly revealed his face, and shook his head.
“No, we haven’t.” He said.
“Hello. I’m Jace.” He added.
“What house are you from? I haven't seen you around the Ravenclaw tower before.” It was kind of hard to tell because they weren’t wearing their uniforms for today’s lesson.
