I guess I just haven't been paying too much attention. I've been kind of…preoccupied." With what, you ask? Working through the full works of Charles Dickens, that's what. And moving through them rather quickly, as well. "I'm Ellery, by the way. Ellery Gwenog Borzekowski-Thomas. In case you forgot mine." Ease off the passive aggressiveness, Ells.
But then he called her Miss Bond, and her cheeks betrayed her once more. They were burning, oh dear Merlin. "I can do that. Easy peasy." She slid against the wall and peeked around the corner. "No one there, sir." Ah, who was blushing now? Still not James. It was the kid now of course. He had half a mind to point it out as she had tried to do before, but he decided against it because he would be decent for once. And he had already shut her down quite a few times in the past minute, so... Another may be much. Even he could put that much together. Apology sort of accepted. Eh. No further comment.
Again, he didn't ask what she was preoccupied with because that information wouldn't be relevant to him, most likely. What did children like to preoccupy themselves with anyways? Nothing useful, he was sure. "Well Miss--" er. "Ellery," the surname name seemed to be much more trouble than it was worth. And no, he hadn't forgotten. He had chosen not to remember. There was a difference. "Professor Draper, you best remember this one," he winked though being all-too-serious. If there was one new Professor she ought to know the name of, it was his.
Or maybe he was biased.
No. His was definitely the most important one. "Excellent," his smug grin stayed in place as he took a few steps in the forward direction, before pausing to turn around to address this Cellery girl once more. "Cellery, what do you plan to do with the rest of your day?" Maybe he could coerce her into an extended mission. Heh.
