And no little Sir, you could not have his middle name, not upon a first introduction at least, or ever. Really. Mmmm...
But yeah... Professor. Right. Lesson. Good.
Zeke paused to face their Professor when the whistle blew, his hands slipping into his pockets casually as he listened to the next part of the lesson. The generic praise was... well, generic, and he couldn't say with any certainty that the man had seen how pro he was. Shame. Nevertheless, there was more. Escaping a solid wrist grasping, well now that sounded delightfully fun. He accepted the padding as it came around, though he would have preferred to go without. Either way, he wasn't putting it on just yet. Padding was so not his style. Really. It was... tacky, no matter the label. He raised a hand high into the air, "Professor, do we have to wear the protective gear?" And like, please answer no.
Looking between Cornelius and the now bigger dummy's, Zeke considered his options. He really wanted a human opponent. Flesh. But... perhaps a stronger one than a first year. "No worries," he returned the boy's thank you. The Gryffindor's eyes followed Cornelius as he went at his dummy again, the comments too, amusing. HA! Cracker.
...
But alas, "Partner?" Yo. Ya'll. Someone? You know, Hirsch was having fun watching the........ would showdown be an appropriate word? Because that's what this was. A showdown of sorts.
The man had just managed to get himself away from a nearby 'fight' with a dummy and another kid when the sound of someone's voice caught his attention. Did they have to wear protective gear? That sounded like such a student question to ask, alongside 'what do we have to do' and 'is this going to come up in the exam'.
Hirsch considered the boy for a moment and considered what he'd seen of his fighting tactics from before. Kid had even managed to help Mr Baltazar over there while completing his task, so....... hm.
The older man moved closer so as not to let the other students overhear. Merlin knows what some of the others would be like if they heard what he went on to tell Mr Browne. "You seem like you're capable enough from what I've seen so I'll let you go without. But be very careful, okay?" No Hospital Wing visits, please. OOC: Lovely work so far, you guys! You have about 27 and a half hours to finish this ^^
