~ Rise and Rise Again, Until Lambs become Lions ~
The thing with trying to dechiper something that was moving, was that it was difficult unless you could stop it. The thing with the pendulum was that it was much too heavy to stop. So, that left one with a rather inconvienced state of trying to read the runes on the pendulum, every time it swung past a certain point.
Of course each pass was an opportunity to read the runes, but given the whole moving concept even getting just one rune right was a challenge.
This, was a challenge. There was no doubt about it. But Amur was determined to succeed at said challenge. She had found a rune book in the library and brought it down with a notebook. Her quill was poised in her hand, ink was dribbling down her wrist and her eyes were fixed on the spot where the pendulum passed. Waiting, seeking to get another rune down on the page properly.
So far, she had one and a half. Only who knew how many dozens more to go. But she was determined.
