Esme was about to answer Olivia's questions when the Professor started talking again and asked for personal chatter to stop. She would have to talk with her new desk-mate some more later.
For now she was watching the teacher's pretty face.
History was so boooooooooooring, but he wasn't being boring. Talking to and about portraits seemed pretty interesting to her because they could be rather funny sometimes and share riveting stories. Or so she had heard. Unfortunately she hadn't experienced much in the way of discussion with them.
When it came to being her turn, she said, "I haven't had the chance to talk to many portraits, but like other people mentioned, there was a knight. He followed me around talking about going on a quest to slay a dragon." Seemed like he talked to a lot of people from the sounds of it.
She wished she had a more interesting story to share. |
