Haddie glanced down and read the note and just... now she was angry. Now she hated David Truebridge completely. She was almost shaking, that's how mad she was at this... this... smug little weasel face!

Haddie raised the note, so he could see it, lips pursed, eyes boring into him with a death stare, and tore it into two. Then four. Then... She suddenly realized the Professor was staring at her waiting for her answer. Great. Something else Dodo bird would feel all smug about. She slipped the note into her bag. Getting the Dodo bird, which he still was, regardless, into trouble was not the way she wanted to pay him back. Nope. This was too personal now. No, she was going to learn every hex, jinx and curse she could and cast them all on weasel face.
Haddie locked eyes with Davie, glaring at him defiantly, daring him to say anything at all. "I've never talked to magical portrait in my life. Sir." Go on, say something.
