So basically they just had to beat up on these dummies? That sounded easy enough! Stowing her wand away in her bag, Scarlett jumped to her feet as her classmates did the same and picked out the dummy she was going to fight. At first it remained still, but when it realized that it had someone watching it, it seemed to kick in to gear and started to come towards her. It got faster and faster and faster, and Scarlett put up her fists in preparation. WAIT. WHAT WAS SHE GOING TO TRY AND HIT?! SHE HADN'T THOUGHT THIS THROUGH!
Right before it made contact with her, Scarlett thought about her answer in class. EYES. Yes, she'd poke it in the eyes! Uncurling her fists, she held out all her fingers, which thankfully were armed with somewhat long nails, and the dummy made contact.
It had been moving faster than she expected and she fell over, and now her fingers hurt and she was pretty sure she'd jammed her ring finger. OUCH. But it seemed to at least do SOMETHING as the dummy also stumbled.
Right, note to self - not the first place to attack in real life. Go for something more...effective.
