Assigned seating! The most evilest and vilest thing teachers have ever come up with since the invention of homework.

Ugh!

Haddie waved at Rachel as she passed by her table to see if, maybe, on the off chance, she'd be at the same table? But nope. Of course not. As long as she wasn't with Davie, she'd be fine. Haddie continued to wander the room, looking for nametag, and with each table, wished a little harder she wouldn't be at the same table as Davie. And then finally she found her nametag.

TYPICAL!

Of course Haddie was at the same table as Davie. Like she'd said, the most evil and vilest invention since homework. She sat down with a huff and ignored the Ravenclaw bird-brain. "Hey Colt! How was the rest of your summer?"

But at least that she's not late. "Hello, Professor." She greeted that man. Well, he did have a nice face. But since she didn't know anything about Prince fairy tale, so she didn't know if it's true that he's that handsome. She looked around and found her name tag... Oh, look. She was in the same table as Davie, a Ravenclaw girl who stole two balls from last Astronomy class and Colt... Yeah, she still remembered him, the one who defeated her in a duel last term. "Hi, Davie!" The young lioness greeted the guy. "Hi there." She smiled to the rest of them.

From the game in Astronomy. That was a lot of fun!"

He looked up and saw this kid that looked familiar. Oh right....it was....Davie from dueling club. He nodded to the dude in response to his smile. "Sup dude?" he asked.

When he shortly finished asking Davie how he was doing, he saw someone familiar come to his table. He nodded and smiled at Hady. He remembered meeting her at Diagon Alley. "Hey Hady. Oh my summer was good. It was the same old same old. Just visited some family ya know." He always had tons of fun visiting his cousins. "How was yours? Did you enjoy being in Diagon Alley?"

Colt then saw another girl join their group. Well I guess it had to be even with two boys and two girls. He nodded to the girl and tried to remember her name. He knew that he beat her in dueling club. "Hello Ava is it?" he asked jogging his memory. "You going to do the dueling club this year?" he asked.

But well, she didn't need to bring it up again, right? "I don't think we've met officially. Ava Burton, second year." The young lioness grabbed her hand and shook it... Wait, there's an electric shock bell on her own hand. Hehehe...

She turned back to Colt. She was still a little bit mad to herself that she couldn't defeat this guy on the dueling last term and still thought that Professor Dakest did make a mistake to place him on the younger group. Well, it's already happened and now it's time to move on. "Yeah, that's my name." How could you forget your opponent's name, dude? "Of course I am! I'm totally looking forward for it!" She'd fallen for dueling since she joined the club last year. It's like she had found something lost for a loooooooong time.

The young lioness stared at the table.... GLITTER GLUE? SERIOUSLY? Weren't they in kindergarten class anymore?

Well so far so good. Colt...Winchester, right, that was his last name. Davie totally hadn't had to peek at his nametag to remember that. "Hey, how's it going," he replied confidently. "Nice nametag." See, Davie could play nice with people. He finished his own nametag by now and was just starting to put back his assortment of blue markers when lo and behold.... the closest thing he had to an enemy (that hag aside) sat down.

Well well well. Was the first year know-nothing not even going to greet him? Was that how things should go? Hmmph. Two could play at this game, Duncebringer. David coolly reached into his bag and got out his notes parchment and accessories, including a very fancy green quill which he was training to take down his every word. It didn't always have the best accuracy, no, but it DID make the best remarks. David was curious to see what it would write about Haddie, and so with a pointed glance across the table at her, he stuck his nose up in the air at her and then let the quick quotes quill get to work on its own.

In the meantime, Ava had joined their table, and David was relieved to see a friendly face from his year. A Gryffindor face, too, so it was safe to say that their table had some diversity. "Hi Ava! How are you?!" She was probably looking forward to Dueling Club, but Colt had just asked her that and she'd said yeah, so Davie would have to think of something else to ask.

He glanced around the room to see where the rest of his friends were and felt a pang of jealousy for not lucking out and getting to sit with Rooney, Char, and Blaise. He would have made the perfect fourth person for that table. Bummer. Still, at least this group had three quality smart kids, and She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was NOT one of them!
