| ❄ Chasing Waterfalls & Wonder ❄ | Mama Badger | Eva's Soul Sister | An OG™ | It's all in the Numbers Tia was not late; she was simply on time and everyone else was simply early. Taking one look at the professor, Tia resolved that this year of History of Magic would be far from boring. Except for ... what?!? He assigned their seats? who does this? What was this - kindergarten? So much for sitting in the front row and center to stare at the handsome professor all day and doodle hearts around his name. Quote:

His name was on one of these nametags, and he had to actually search for it? Yikes. Now begins the awkward shuffling around the room trying to spot a "Garreth Kenway" on one of the pieces of paper. He scanned the tags he could see from where he stood and upon coming to terms with the fact that his name was on none of them, he began the search. His first stop was over at Esme's table. She was probably the one person he'd spoken to the most out of everyone in the room - not that that was saying much - and he sort of hoped he'd be sitting with her, but alas, his name wasn't there. He gave her an exaggerated frown and moved over to Kitty's table. Nope. No "Garreth" there either.
He searched hard and found none. He searched harder and found noner. Aha! There it was! ... At an empty table. Fantastic. Well, at least he'd found his seat. Now the lesson could begin! Well, maybe after at least half the class had arrived. Was it too soon to start asking questions? Yeah, probably. He'd just have to shut up and doodle on his nametag for now. Dum dee dum. Could he ask questions now? No, probably not. How about now? No? How about now? Now?
Searching for her name by the empty seats, Tia thought desperately that maybe, just maybe, he had simply forgotten her. But not the case. Where was her name? At long last she found it at a table in the way back with only one student thus far sitting at the table. A lad she recognized as being a newly sorted eaglet from the feast. Perhaps this was on purpose; sticking her with a first year to help him follow along AND away from staring distance from himself. With a sigh, Tia took the seat behind her name tag, "TiaMarie Mancini" and just for the sake of it, added "Head Girl" underneath it.
"Hi, you're Garreth, right?" Tia said, greeting her tablemate. "Don't think I've officially gotten to welcoming you to Ravenclaw, so ... welcome."
