Ellery had struck a nerve, and she could tell. The thing was…she was treading on sensitive territory. She didn't want to go to detention - she had come close enough last year, and besides, she had no idea how harsh this guy thought he could get away with being. What had she turned into, though? A coward?

"You're blushing," she said helpfully, pointing at his face. He wasn't really blushing, or if so, only a tad, but she wanted him to know she was observant. Furthermore, it was scientifically proven saying someone is blushing will make them blush. She tried that out on Olly ALL the time.

"Which one?" she asked innocently, batting her eyelashes. "Hirsch? To be honest, he's the only new one I know the name of." Please don't notice she didn't say other because…she still couldn't remember this professor's name. She was drawing a complete blank. AAHH.

"Duh." She pretended to put spy sunglasses on. 007.
