She had been reading outside, but then she got a chill and returned inside. October was the nice month, but it definitely defined the changing of seasons. Soon, it would be Halloween, which excited her. She would be going as a dodo bird, as always.

Turning the corner, she almost didn't notice him there. But there he was, professor what's-his-face, lurking. If he wasn't so dopey looking, she might think he was being suspicious. But he was kinda dopey looking, in a way.

"You looking for anyone, professor? I could help you find them. I'm VERY sneaky.
Watching the Hogwarts' hallways was an interesting thing to do with one's time. James never fancied standing around much himself, it wasn't his thing. Much too idle. Much too useless. A waste of time, honestly. But now that he was meant to find a victim recruit to help him, he didn't have much of a choice.

Unfortunately, though he would call it fortunate any other day of the week, there weren't many students lurking around. Well, except for that one with her nose in a book (which he wasn't interested in knowing the title of, by the way). And though he didn't care, he decided he wouldn't bother her. She was tiny anyways, most likely useless. Most likely annoying first year. He knew the type. The whole lot of them were some how magnetically drawn to James' office. He hadn't formally met this one yet.

Which is why he wasn't expecting that she would stop reading to come bother talk to him. He was planning on dismissing her the moment she opened her mouth to speak, however, what she had to say was exactly what he needed. Maybe she wouldn't be useless after all. Any of these thoughts were 100% hidden from his face as he kept his confident smug smile, as always. A permanent fixture to his facial features. "Matter of fact, I am," he nodded. Looking for someone. He was looking for a lot of someones. ".... But I don't think you will be sneaky enough," he said, looking away. Disinterested. Come on kid, defend your honor. It's a test.
