Was that...a good thing? Or a bad thing?
Esme decided to go with the former; it didn't look like Professor Flamsteed was mocking her or displeased with her answer. It was just a really Hufflepuff thought - but then that was the House she HAD been sorted into. Imagine that.
As she listened to her classmates and the Professor, she continued to take notes. This was the less fun part of lessons, but she did see the importance of it and found that it could be quite interesting when not long-winded. He was making sense again! And talking about the activity! How fun.
Getting up from her seat, Esme pushed her desk and chair off to the side. It was time for her to start helping Hufflepuff claim some white balls. Ravenclaw had an advantage in numbers, but Badgers weren't called hardworking for nothing; even if they didn't WIN they could make this close.
After taking a deep breath, she pumped her legs and gave the biggest jump that she had in her. Shooting up into the sky, she grabbed the first white ball that she could get her hands on. Nobody had better steal it because it was HERS for her House.
She had claimed it.
Reaching the corner of the room with the yellow platform, Esme gave another high jump into the air and brought the ball down, watching as it turned yellow. That's how it's done!
