When they accidentally make an eyecontact, Jessie smiling at her. Even Jessie still remember how jealous she was before, but her *cough* boyfriend *cough* told Jessie that nothing happened between them.
And Jessie trust him.
So she wants to be friend with the Slytherin girl.

She didn't know her name, but she did recognize her from classes. Remembering what her older sister about making friends, Kay shook off her normal shyness and walked about to the other little girl.
"Hello. My name is Kay. What is yours?" She said, smiling. while sitting done on the other side of the bench.
Ariadne was still thinking long and hard about the Whomping Willow, when she happened to look and see another girl looking her way. At first she thought something might be wrong. Why was this girl mysteriously looking at her? But then the girl smiled, causing Ariadne to smile in return.
"Hi," Ariadne said, momentarily forgetting about the willow tree and focusing instead on the other girl, a Gryffindor, she thought.
"I'm Ariadne."
Then there was a second girl, a Hufflepuff this time, introducing herself. Awesome! Ariadne loved hanging out with people, especially groups of people, where it was way more fun!
"Hey, Kay," she said, smiling and pushing herself up off the ground.
"I'm Ariadne." She sat on the bench next to the girl and motioned for the Gryffindor to join them, too, if she wanted to.
"So do you think it's true? What they say about the tree, I mean," she said.
"I've heard it can pick people up and sling them pretty far! Sounds fun, but I heard it can cause some major bruises."
