Pretty much, a visit to the Whomping Willow had been out of the question.
The tiny first year found a nice patch of grass with a rock-like bench on it and sat down. It was actually pretty nice out here on the grounds, but the loneliness made her miss her mom and dad. She should really start coming out here with friends and not all by herself.
Even after being at Hogwarts for a couple of weeks, Kaylee still hadn't seen everything that the school had to offer. So one day, when it was gorgeous, she decided to just walk around the grounds and see the sights.
While on the walk, Kaylee spotted an old, tree softly swaying.
'Must be the Whomping Willow that I heard some of the older kids talk about.' She heard the tree is extremely violent to anyone/thing that gets near it.
Before the little 1st year girl decided to turn away to find a more safer area to explore, she spotted another young girl sitting on a bench that was at a relatively safe spot away from the violent tree. She didn't know her name, but she did recognize her from classes. Remembering what her older sister about making friends, Kay shook off her normal shyness and walked about to the other little girl.
"Hello. My name is Kay. What is yours?" She said, smiling. while sitting done on the other side of the bench.
