Lex groaned and sank to the floor, holding the box in his lap, repeating the spell without effect. He eventually stopped, sitting still with his back to the cabinet, wiping a frustrated tear from his cheek.

Still waiting for the Head Girl’s response, Jace got distracted when he saw a boy, now sitting on the floor trying his best not to cry...or was already crying? The 11 year old recognized him instantly, since they do share a common room, but failed to introduce himself...or get to know his fellow Claw. It isn’t too late to rectify the situation, right?

Giving Tia a quick glance, the half-Japanese tugged on her sleeve and headed towards the disgruntled boy. Lowering himself, Jace kneeled in front of him and smiled at him warmly. He didn’t want to startle him, and upset his fellow Ravenclaw more. With a slight bow of his head, Jace went on to introduce himself. “Hello.” He started giving the boy a small wave. “I’m Jace. Do you need help? We can...figure it out together if you want.” He said hoping the boy would say yes. He didn’t want to be stuck in the room...and he was sure that his fellow Ravenclaw felt the same way.

Merlin, being a first year is hard!
