When he had pulled himself fully through the trap door, Olly allowed himself to stretch his back and legs. Crawling was not particularly enjoyably. That's why babies stopped doing it as soon as they learned to walk. He inspected his knees, they were sore but had been protected enough by his robes that they were not scratched. Which was good, because he did not want to have to deal with an injury.

Olly moved his gaze away from his knees and searched for the shoes and gloves that were supposed to be up there. He spotted one easily and reached for the shoes first. He figured it might be hard trying to put on shoes if he was already wearing gloves that were all sticky. See, he was thinking. Olly took off his own shoes, leaving them right next to the trapdoor he had opened, so he could pull on the sticky ones. Next he put on the gloves. He pressed one hand against the wall as a test. Yep, it stuck. Olly tilted his head and looked all the way up to the ceiling. There were the boxes, flying around. He had to climb all the way up there to grab one. He took a breath and set to it.
