Norah shut the cabinet with a satisfying bang, looking around with an apologetic smile just in case the sound had bothered anybody. It was hard to remember sometimes that not everybody took so much joy from loud noises. They were missing out, but there wasn't much to be done about that. With the little box still in her other hand, she aimed her wand and cast, "Colloportus!" with a firm movement of her wand. A little tentative just in case her newfound confidence was a ginormous fluke (as it usually was, in the rare event that confidence decided to assert itself) she reached out and tugged lightly on the cabinet door. Nothing. She tugged a little harder. Still nothing. It was a MIRACLE. It was probably awfully pathetic that she thought so, especially 'cause even the firsties seemed to be getting on fine, and EVEN the firsties who hadn't stuck around class in the first place (eyes on you, baby Kettleburn. What a lil' nugget). At least she was taller than most of them. And that wasn't something she could say about most people. For now.
With that hurdle out of the way, Norah twirled her wand between her fingers, promptly dropped it, and swooped down to pick it up. Nobody saw that, right? Right. Time for some more unlocking 'n all that. Cool beans.
