Ability is nothing without Opportunity | | Creativity is Intelligence having FUN House meetings…. they are serious stuff innit? Inspirational, but serious. It’s a bit like his dad's boardroom meetings but with lots more kids and lots of charts instead of banners. But it’s the same: some are cooperative, some are bored and some completely misses the point of the discussion.
Gryffindoring-- he likes that word. Bullying, he don’t like that one bit. And as far as Tenacius could understand in his simple, eleven-and-a-half-year-old mind, they are not interchangeable.
And the discussion has drifted towards the house elves. Tenacius doesn’t really understand what the fuss was all about because the elves he grew up with were employees. Like all the other Witches and Wizards and Squibs and Beings in their employ. Nobody was forced to do anything that wasn’t stated in a contract. Wasn’t that the same here in Hogwarts? And if it wasn’t…. why not?
He looked down and realized that his plate was empty. Oi! So when Flamsteed turned the floor over to the next person, the curly top rushed to the food table and proceeded to pile up his plate once again. And while that was happening, the Prefect launched her question.
What was he good at? "Uhmmm… I'm good at this." he beamed as he raised his plate aloft, piled high with food. "I'm really good at eating!" How does that benefit Gryffindor and Hogwarts? "I can eat all the foods so that they wont get spoiled? And the elves will be happy about that because it means their efforts are appreciated and nothing is going to waste." |
