However, she didn't rush to doing the spell; instead she inspected the cabinet first and tried to figure out how the lock worked. Then, once she thought she had an imagine of it, she closed her eyes and literally imagined the lock going off with a click as she said the spell. She then tried to copy the wand movement - the reverse S or whatever. And at last came the correct way of pronunciation: Alohomora. Al-LOH-ha-MOR-ah. Alohomora. Al-loh-hamor-no, Al-loh-ha-mor-ah." Alohomora... right.

She took a deeeeeeeep breath, touched the cabinet with her left hand as the right hand held the wand. She visualised the lock again... "Al-LOH-ha-MOR-ah!"

...

Did it... click? Katherine frowned to herself. She wasn't sure, so she held onto the holder and pulled it... with more force, and TA-DAA, THERE WAS THE BOX! So what if she hadn't unlocked the lock FULLY - it still opened on her first try with a little force, didn't it? IT DID. So, she BEAMED to herself and peeked at the boy (did he see THAT?!?! She had opened it on her F I R S T E V E R try!).

This was like, easy.

Oh, a baby bird peeped at her. When they weren't nipping at your heels, trying to be more dominant than their years *coughRachelcough*, firsties actually could be kind of cute. Could she watch? "Hello. Of course you can, all of my spellwork I'll perfom nice and slow. Okay?" She watched the girl when she eventually did the spell herself and smiled. "Excellent." Encouraging little baby firsties came natural, whether or not they were of her own house. Maybe Henric's puffness had simply rubbed off on her.

SPOILER!!: Henric Lol <3

Henric's heart almost jumped out of his chest when suddenly the room door shut close by itself! AAHRHH! WHAT TH-! THEY'RE TRAPPED??!!

His protective prefect instinct kicked in,"HEY WHAT'S GOING ON-?!" he started to yell but stopped. EH?..Wait. He recognised that voice! Professor Primeaux?! He listened carefully until the end. Ohh...so this was like a test? Thank goodness. Henric was about to break open that door, y'know. He calmed himself down a little before proceeding to one of the many glass cabinet available in this room. Oh, and there was his llia already starting with the charm spells! She was so quick to know what spell to use too! Heheh...as expected of his smart and beautiful girlfriend. "What's inside, llia?" He asked her as soon as he reached her side. Hmm...maybe he should do the same too.

He pointed with his wand and muttered the spell clearly. "Alohomora." A click was heard. He opened it and reached in to grab whatever was inside. Huh? Another box?

Ilia peeked back and watched Henric with a small smile. Seriously after being in this school longer than her he was still going to be jumpy when there wasn't a visible professor? You should know better honey. As for his defensive instinct....well....she couldn't exactly blame him. After her spidernapping the first year she came to this castle, she tended toward suspicion herself. Thankfully, all was well though. She smiled brightly at his question and took a moment to produce the small box within the previously locked cabinet. "A box." She said rather simply and showed him, waiting as he opened the cabinet beside her. "They are almost kind of cute little boxes aren't they?" She asked him with a smile, while thinking he was far cuter. No way she was going to mention that in the middle of class though. Nope.

SPOILER!!: Rachel xD

Her tone was significantly less warmer and for the umpteenth time she wonder why Henric was dating this girl.

But Ilia was willing to help and Rachel would accept it since she cared more about her work. "You mean give it a command? I think I can manage that.'' She could manage that. "Does saying incantations in a commanding tone always help?" She would try this out for herself right now. She replayed Ilia's demonstration in her head and tried again.

"Alohomora.'' She used her confidence and tried to feel the charm as best as she could. There was a click indicating the lock had given away. "I did it!'' Rachel was ecstatic and even wanted to hug Ilia but refrained. The mean girl did not deserve that but she did deserve a... "Thank you, Ilia. I shall remember your tip when doing all spell work.''

She removed the box from the cabinet. “I wonder how the numbers will help us,’’ the eleven year old pondered out aloud. She examined the box closely for a little while then looked around at her peers. Lots of them, like her, had needed help. She shook the box slightly. “Do you have any idea how the numbers tie in?’’ Her question was directed to Ilia.

Yes, Rachel was always inquisitive.

Now she attempted to tackle cabinet again. ''I shall try locking this now. This spell, like the previous one, is also new to me though I did come across it in my reading. Colloportus.'' No, it was still opened. "Colloportus.'' The first year bit her lower lip. Charms could be so difficult. She focused in on Ilia's tip again. ''Colloportus.'' The cabinet re-locked itself.

The dark haired girl smiled in triumph, clutching the box close to her.

Ilia grinned almost amused at the younger eagles accusation. "Just you baby bird. Its kinda cute." She came off like she wanted to think she was high and mighty yet, here she was failing her first go. The girls coldness towards her didn't put her off in the least. On the contrary, she just felt that everything was on even footing.

She listened calmly and nodded at the child's question. "I find that it does for me. Your intent is as important as your form and words. Your magic is a part of you, half hearted asking changes nothing, but if you put your heart into something....your intentions and your will, you can make things truly happen." Whoa....did she actually....just open up to this child. Odd, she supposed she didn't have as hard of feelings for the girl as she thought. Her fangs just sometimes popped out......especially towards anything between her and Henric. Was that actually....an honest thank you? "You are welcome....Rachel." She resisted the desire to call her baby bird again.

"Colloportus." She slowly , smoothly, and clearly used her words and her form so in case the baby birds that were watching her wanted to see. She locked the big cabinet and then concentrated on the smaller one. "Alohomora." She performed the charm with her same smooth and slow words and motions. The little box popped open to reveal numbers. There we are.

Baby bird chirped to her again? This was interesting. She actually genuinely gave the girl a small smile. "If I understand it correctly, we should be able to use the number code to access the other room." She nodded in the direction of it. "I am going to presume that is where we find our professor, after all....with last nights spectacle especially I highly doubt a professor would leave children alone. Even with the prefects and head students." After all, they couldn't stop the food fight and the children where ickle little things for sure. Besides, teens and pre-teens locked in a room alone together with magic.....no one in their right minds would leave them all unattended....even if this was Hogwarts, home of the crazies.
