Sabel nearly gave the duel right then and there to Charolette, merely for her confidence and her spunk. Really, what other student had addressed him in that way? Surely only the ones that he babysat, and who knew their parents knew him. Still, it had him grinning from ear to ear as he stepped up across from her, and bowed. "Your kindness, is much appreciated."

And it was at that moment that he had to remind himself that he was dueling a first year. A literal child. This wasn't the same as his duel with Browne or Hyland. This was different. At the same time, he knew he would never hear the end of it if he didn't put his best foot forward for Charolette.

But seriously, what was it with each student and trying to blind him on their first spell? He was almost tempted to let it hit him, just so he could see what at least one of his students had up their sleeves for when he was blinded.

The thought was so intriguing, that Sabel had to test it out, after a fashion of course. With a step back and a movement of his wand, he cast two non-verbal gemino spells, sending up two identical copies of himself, one right in front of him, and the other in front of that.

It was the foremost one which got hit with the blindfold spell, it's arms splaying out to either side in pure surprise as it teetered from one foot to another, like an unconvincing bowling ball pin. Then, it dissintigrated, leaving the other identical copy blinking at Charlotte as he stood behind it. Very carefully, he peeked his head up on the shoulder of his twin, so it looked like they were a two headed giant.

Then, it was a silent trip jinx back to the firstie.
