Kate was still lost in her thoughts and getting kind of comfortable, when the professor spoke again. At least she didn't yell out at them and startle the entire bunch. Smart woman, she was. A bucket made its way around, and Kate collected it. Seventy-eight sticks. Hmm. Alright.

So now for a partner. Mmkay. "Does anybody still need a partner?" she asked...because she did. "Or does anybody want a group of three?" Somebody? Anybody? Somebody please take me in, and don't make me look like a fool any longer!

...and now, she waited. Maybe the professor gave out points just for asking for a partner...
