Colt was affected by the ears to kumquats spell and he knew about this one, he saw Charlotte casted well what look like she casted another spell at him but he couldn't hear it. He could only squint and make out the words and he knew she used the protection spell. So no spell was coming his way. He gasped and DUCKED out of the way. He was glad he did it just in time, he didn't want to have the jelly legs curse on him. No thank you. He got his wand out and pointed at his ears and said, "FINITE!" and then he could hear again.

Aaahhh that felt better. Now onto casting his spell of choice. He thought about one he could use on this little girl, he began his incantation and said, "Incarcerous!" and he hoped ropes would come and bind her down.

Will not cancel everything in the vicinity of the caster. (Finite MUST be cast on EACH spell to cancel them. The exception is spells that combine into ONE big spell: like Oppugo and Avis combine into attacking birds. ONE finite would be required to get rid of the attacking and the birds.
