| H:100, m:70, f:25 lives in a hobbit hole || Ern and Touz's Nuzzle || roflysst || looking at a seed packet If Charlotte had known at all that Colt had gone to Durmstrang she would have been VERY EXCITED and IMMEDIATELY wanted to chat to him about how all her uncles had gone there and that THREE of her cousins went there and that ONE of them was the Combat captain and a champion dueler and everything, but as it was Char had no clue and hadn't picked up a single thing in the bigger kid's strategy or technique to suggest it anyways.
Speed was probably the only thing she really had going for her, along with tenacity and a genuine gleeful enjoyment of the whole situation. It didn't matter that he was bigger, she wasn't expecting to win, just to do real well and enjoy herself. Since he was still stuck in one spot from her stickfast hex, Char tried to take advantage of that, and of the few seconds of time that it took for him to shield her last spell. Her cousin had told her about how timing was IMPORTANT in duels and that was something she was starting to really understand and feel natural with, so she brought her wand to bear and hollered out the incantation for the cornflake skin spell, aiming to have it hit right when his shield would drop or disintegrate from the last spell.
And the THING about Tarantallegra was that as COOL as it was to make people dance (and how cool it was to be made to dance sometimes, honestly if it wasn't a duel she would have let it hit her for funsies), was that it took kind of a long time to say. Char was obviously going to try and take advantage of that!!! In the five or so seconds that it took for Colt to get that mouthful of a spell out Char was already on the move, dodging out of the way and shooting a much quicker to say incantation his way, the one for the Ears to Kumquats spell because LOL HIS EARS WOULD BE KUMQUATS IF IT HIT HIM (Which she thought would be hilarious if he alsoooo was cornflakey: Colt Winchester, complete breakfast)!
Crazy child. She bounced around the dueling space, an unpredictable, overexcited moving target who might make the casual observer wonder exactly how her parents had coped with all that energy.
