This kid had some interesting stuff going on with him and Dora needed to know all of the things. ALL OF THEM.
And that sign... she got the gist of it and felt like kicking herself. Of course he wanted to eat them, Dora. DUHHH. "Want some butter or jam to go with them?" Because that was logical to her. Hehehe. A smIle crept across her lips as she stood there. She would SOOO steal him some jam right now if he wanted it... but he might have to share the bread rolls. At first, Daxton was suspicious, but then he almost always was. He eyed the girl warily, then slowly nodded his head. For a moment, he had considered not admitting it, because then that would mean that if she ever wanted to annoy him or use one of his weaknesses to he advantage, like scream in his ear or similar, she would now have that information. But it was not as though his aversion to loud noises was not obvious, obvious enough that she had already guessed.
She was getting closer to him though, and that made Daxton ever more wary. He eyed her progress across the floor carefully, ready to take a step back if she got too close.
A shake of the head came next. Jam was far too sickly sweet, and butter was just strange and unpleasant. Dry bread rolls. Dry toast. Everything had to be dry and bland. It was a lot less confusing that way, a lot less overwhelming.
His eyes still on the girl, Daxton started to side step very carefully around her, towards the stairs. Sounds were pouring through the open doors to the Great Hall, hurting his ears and confusing his head, and having his back to an open room was making him particularly nervous. He half expected the girl to follow him, though - people had an annoying habit of trying to do that at this school - which was why he did not look away from here, even for a second. |
