Raising her eyebrows slightly, quite impressed, she nodded slowly. "Yes, you are one hundred percent correct there. It's why there's really not many of them out there. Many witches and wizards decide their time could perhaps be better served elsewere." Herself included. But that was really the most important thing to know, at first. Just how long the process can be, requiring great patience and understanding. Without knowing that first, the expectations just weren't realistic.
His next comment got a smile from her. "Ahh yes, I heard about that! How did you find being an animal? How long did your potion last?" Frankie was rather pleased at how cool the professor sitting on the other side of the desk was being. She wasn't Bellaire, but she would do just fine. She was, after all, knowledgable and capable of the topic being addressed. He smiled up at her as she spoke, nodding his head to indicate that he understood everything about it being a long process, in addition to patience and understanding were of vital importance. All of these things this Gryffindor didn't care much for, but he was willing to make an exception here.
"Right," he said, understanding why people were quick to give up on things that were too hard or simply took too long to get results. The blond honestly felt the same way about school, that his time would be better spent elsewhere. But, since he was here, he might as well hone in on his interests and everything. "Are you trying to scare me away, professor?" Kidding!
Oh, look! She smiled after he mentioned the potion. "Being an animal was ... interesting. Little odd at first, but I adjusted to it okay. Even if I was a stupid rat." Frankie was still sour about not getting the joy of being an eagle or even a parrot. He could have gotten into a lot of fun situations with the ability to fly without a broom. "Lasted about three hours, I think. Maybe a little longer."
