Wait..what the hell was he saying and since when was he not young and carefree?
"Wait...I take that back. I'm just more mature." That was a pointed jab at you Cambridge.
"Every time I think that I've started to understand them, they prove me wrong. I have absolutely given up hope on ever doing so." Fact. His sister was married to a muggle-born and he still didn't quite understand Dylan and half the stuff that he says to him.
Tyler shrugged.
"You're not missing much. It doesn't feel any different. Though I suppose you're tired of sitting on the ground." Something he never did. Legend could bite it. "You can just do like me and take someone else's desk and chair."
Wait. Was he actually going to sit there and try playing that card? Alexa gave a laugh, a proper one to show just how little she cared.
"If being immature means doing whatever the hell I want, then yes. You are absolutely more mature than I am and I think I'll keep it that way." It was the lifestyle she'd grown up with. She'd never seen her father holding back because of expenses. He didn't need to and neither would she.
"It's enough I know how to pay my own bills and when I need to seek medical attention. Outside of that, I can't find much use for that maturity you're bragging so highly of." Looks like she didn't need it. Fancy that.
Lex shook her head ruefully as she polished off the donut in one big bite but she did wait til she swallowed before speaking again.
"Don't try to understand them. They don't try to understand us. Stuck in their own world where nothing exists unless they invented it." She'd never had much of an impression of Muggles before and hearing the things her sister said they spoke about when she was around, she wasn't at all impressed.
A half smile half smirk crept onto her face.
"Have you forgotten already, Bellaire? You promised I could use your desk. Remember?" She reached for another donut at her leisure.
"I believe it was something of a 'I won't be using it much anyway' type deal." Now that he had ALL these fancy missions to go on.
