Was Ava really apologizing? That was... very cute and very sad at the same time. "Nooo, Ava, it's all right. You're only a first year, y'couldn't possibly be expected to know this stuff. I dunno why we're expected to know it, actually, 'cause... I mean, professors are important and all, but what good is it knowing ten past History of Magic professors? Headmasters 'n stuff I get, but..." Soph would've shrugged, but Ava was on her shoulders, so instead she just made a soft noise of displeasure.

"You did more than we could've expected you to." Truly. The kid had listed off a few names AND she was doing a dynamite job up there not falling and gathering the candy bags, so really, it worked out just fine. "Uh huh, m'fine. Ready to finish this thing?" Soph turned them around carefully and headed for the finish line, keeping her body level and well-balanced so Ava wouldn't topple off, and she smiled at the Gryffindor's words. "Y'don't have to. I mean, y'can if y'really want to... but it's okay." She was already planning on giving Zander's shoulders a massage after this and figured he'd return the favor, too.

Also, had Soph mentioned that she was very grateful that Ava didn't have stinky feet? That would've made this whole thing a million times worse. Probably would've been weird to express her gratitude for it, though, but she was sure Ava was glad to not be stinking her out of here, too.

When they crossed the finish line, Soph let out some cheers of elation, then slooowly crouched downward, her hands up in the air to help Ava get down, if she needed the help. Or maybe the girl would just jump? Who knows. At any rate, they were dismissed, and Ava had their CANDY. Best day ever, right?

And would the Grey Lady notice if she kept the tiara?
