Mushroom and goblet safely stored away in her bag, Paulina made her way back to the castle. She was starting to feel a little hungry, so she decided that it was a good idea for her to stop and get something to eat for lunch. No one said she couldn't do two things at once and food was important. Hopefully there was a nice salad she could have, because Paulina wouldn't be impressed if meat was the main option.
Sitting down at the Hufflepuff table she got a good look at her surroundings. What could she transfigure...? Biting her lip, she picked up a fork. It could work, though she was obviously going to have to revert the object back to normal once done; she was NOT a thief. And if she had to restore the object anyway, maybe she could make things more interesting by performing the spell on a LARGE fork. The bigger the object, the bigger the challenge.
After helping herself to some fruit and vegetables, Paulina pointed her wand at the fork. She could always grab another one to eat with.
"Engorgio!"
There. Now she was ready to get started.
Paulina decided that she was going to turn her large fork into a quill. She hadn't really practiced this spell so the results should be interesting. Under her breath she started muttering the incantation. "SKRIB-luh-forz... SKRIB-luh-forz... SKRIB-luh-forz..." It was only when she felt sure of herself that she practiced the wand movement.
Point and flick to the right. Point and flick to the right.
She was ready to perform the spell. "Scribblifors!" Nothing happened. What had she done wrong? Paulina was confused. Maybe she hadn't concentrated hard enough because she SHOULD have been able to turn the fork into a quill. Shrugging it off, she tried again while focusing all her attention on what she wanted the spell to do.
"Scribblifors!"
