Wait a minute, she made a partner with the Head Girl. A Ravenclaw Head Girl. Grrrreeeeeeaaaaat!!!!

"You're lucky that I am quite light and small." The young lioness said to Sophie. "Come on, Soph! Carry me in your shoulder, I am ready to go!" Don't worry, Ava Burton was born to be a girl who's not afraid of height and injuries.
...Didn't anyone else think this was a very, very bad idea?

Okay, the history part made sense, and Sophie was not at all worried about the professor-naming part because she had that in the bag, but she was still thoroughly convinced that the Grey Lady was off her rocker and had NO idea how to be a professor. They couldn't just STAND on each other's shoulders, that made no sense! Perhaps it made more sense if they were allowed to use magic, or if the ghost had introduced them to some sort of... SOMETHING that would make this work way better, Soph would've been on board. But this was lunacy. At most, Soph probably had a few inches of height on Ava, and probably 20-25 pounds or so. She was SMALL, professor, she couldn't have an ELEVEN OR TWELVE YEAR OLD STANDING ON HER SHOULDERS.

Logistically it made zero sense. Zero sense. None. No sense at all. How was Ava supposed to get up there in the first place? How was Soph expected to stand up once Ava started to climb ONTO her shoulders? Soph couldn't support that much weight, she was a weakling! Her shoulders and back would BREAK, it didn't matter how light Ava was! She wasn't even sure how Zander would do with Rooney on his shoulders. The distribution of Rooney's weight would... be entirely on Zander's big broad shoulders, but that concentrated weight baring down on his shoulders could NOT be good. It just couldn't, even for a strong, buff guy like the Head Boy. Even if this activity was the other way around with Soph being the tinier one and getting on someone else's shoulders, she wouldn't have felt good about it. No, there was NO way this could be any good. This was bad, bad news, and Sophie Brown didn't like it one bit.

...But there was Ava, as excited and ready to go as ever. Her excitement was encouraging, and Soph forced a little bit of a smile. "Yeah. Lucky." She was in a sense, really. If Ava was a few inches taller and the same size as the seventh year, Soph would've been feeling even worse than this, but... Ava was pretty tiny, even tinier than Soph had been as a first year. So. They... could... at least give it a shot, yeah?

And in her nervousness, she didn't even think to see how Zander and Rooney were doing over there.

"All right. How 'bout, uh... d'you wanna... take your shoes off? Think they'll hurt." She didn't want the hard soles of her shoes digging into her. "And..." She was walking over toward the side of the room where they'd pushed desks over, and squatted down beside one. "Y'wanna... get up on the desk first, then climb on?" The Ravenclaw raised both hands up, where she'd hold Ava's hands and help steady her as she climbed on. "Or if y'think there's a better way of doing this, go for it." She was bent pretty low to the floor, so Ava COULD try to climb right up and on without climbing up on the desk first, if she really wanted to. "I'll try to help steady you." With her outstretched hands.
