Evie stood in front of the costume box for a good five minutes before she was ready. She was in a GRYFFINDOR quidditch outfit (which felt a little wrong, to be honest), and her hair was pulled back into a french braid, just like Angelina Johnson used to wear back in her Hogwarts days. At least, that was what she had read.
Evie waltzed into class, feeling a little strange but rather confident. "Hello, Professor," she said, greeting the Grey Lady. It was a bit odd calling her professor, but that was her new title...
Spotting her boyfriend, Evie went over and examined his outfit, which didn't quite click until she saw the badge... and the legendary gold hoop earring that ran through their family. And then she stopped. And stared. Really? Her boyfriend was her great-uncle? *deadpan* "You're hilarious." Really. She was dying inside. "And you're a traitor!" Benzi GASPED as he saw the girlfriend dressed in none other than full Gryffindor robes. Honestly. But he was pleased with the reaction he got so he patted the seat next to him and turned back to their ghostly teacher. Hehehehe. Text Cut: Grey Lady Quote:

When the last student took their seat Helena rose from her sitting position on the desk to a floating position a few inches over the floor in front of it as she addressed the class in voice that was loud enough to be heard in the back but not too loud. "Welcome back everyone to a new lesson in history. I firstly want to extend my thanks to all of you for dressing up as your favourite magical person from history for the class. I know that not everyone is fond of dressing up and some even find it silly, and because of that I'm awarding 10 house points to each of the four houses." They had all made an effort and Helena endorsed that. "Now, let's talk about history for a moment before we move on to our main topic for today's lesson. Why do you think its obligatory to study history during your magical education?" Letting her grey eyes wander over the many costumes Helena asked "Does the famous people you have dressed up today as make it easier to remember what has happened throughout history or do you think/feel that so much has happened in history that it's hard to remember regardless of the famous people?" OOC: Class has officially started. Feel free to be creative with your characters answers. Please don't post arriving late and instead play as if you've been there all along. "Thanks Professor," Benzi smiled back politely, knowing his house ghost put manners above almost all else, "I have.. a bit of special interest in Kingsley Shacklebolt. I read about him a lot," which wasn't really a lie since he had gone and read that one book about him just to poke fun at Evie for some of the things her great uncle of some form did. Hehe.
Anyways. "Other than learning from our mistakes," Benzi raised his hand, not wanting to repeat answers, "it's also important to preserve legacies and the knowledge that the people before us acquired, otherwise we'd be rediscovering the same things." And that would be very counterproductive. Mostly it was learning from mistakes though.
