"That's an interesting name." It really was. He didn't think he'd ever heard anyone names 'Dot' before, mostly because he didn't think it was a name until she'd just told him. This time, the ball wasn't banished but thrown and it was going slow enough that he suddenly went. "Arrest Momentum!" Mind you, his wand was still in its holster but he could preeeetend.

"She's good at blasting things and making things go forward real fast--like we did in Astronomy class but even then she threw things in any direction she wanted and wouldn't let ME choose which planets we were hitting." As you can imagine, blasting had NOTHING to do with slowing objects down or turning rats into cups so....Yeah.

The boy gave a small nod at her suggestion, happy he'd gotten a little heads up this time that she'd be using her wand. "Did yours always listen to you? Even when you just got it?" He shoved the ball at her with about the same force as the other time, knowing fully well she'd banish it just fine.
