After watching the birds for a few moments, Paulina felt ready to move on to the next spell. This one was going to be harder because it involved human transfiguration, but at least it didn't entail changing her WHOLE person. Paulina didn't think she would be capable of that kind of magic for a little while yet.
Even though the wand movement seemed to be pretty simple, she decided that it definitely wouldn't hurt to practice it for a little while. Quickly she formed arch after arch. She could do this kind of thing with her eyes closed, and was glad that this part at least was simple; it was the incantation that would give her more trouble.
"Crinus Muto." That sounded weird. Paulina repeated the words a few more times, but it always felt strange to her. She drew it out a little and found that it worked better that way.
When she felt that everything was said perfectly she would be ready to move on to the next part. She was going to do the spell on herself, because quite frankly she wasn't sure if she trusted anyone else with her hair. |
