“Ugh!” the taste of the potion was appalling, Sabbath grimaced and tossed the empty phial onto his bed. He waited. He felt an odd tingling beginning in his fingernails. He held his hands up in front of his face to see what was happening and observed as the tips of black claws to emerged curving their way over his fingertips. Then, he started to feel itchy — very, very itchy — all over his body, ‘Good grief, it felt like a thousand ants were on his skin’.

He fell forward on his hands and knees, writhing from the prickling sensation. And just when he thought he could bear it no further, he saw it happening — his fore arms were sprouting hairs! Thick course grey filaments that were pushing their way up through his dermis. The hairs continued to multiply, sprouting their way outwards, getting denser and denser until his whole body had been covered in a downy soft, silver-grey fur.

All that itching had given him the odd urge to give an almighty shake. So, he let it go. It felt so good.

Now on all fours, he could see that he also had a prominent muzzle, he could she a wet black nose and could feel his sharp canine teeth against his tongue. He cowed down and and slunk his way over to the mirror. And there, he came face to face with himself… To his astonishment, he had become a grey wolf!

He was suitably amazed. ‘Awesome!’ He thought as he smiled at himself, baring his teeth. He cringed - Merlin! Even he was alarmed at how menacing that image was. He thought it wise that he keep a check on the smiling for now. He padded silently over to the side of the room and looked around, waiting for the other boys to finish changing.
