Kate could hear the music playing down the corridor, and she'd already decided that if this Professor York wasn't really, REALLY interesting, the music would make Kate fall asleep in class. That was no good at all. She walked in the room and peered around, trying to get a feel for how York would do things.

OH! There was a bowl of...jelly beans? Hmm...

"Hello, Professor York," Kate said, eyeing the bowl of jelly beans. Hmm... "Okay, why not?" She reached into the bowl and took a jelly bean, promptly popping it into her mouth. pause...pause...pause... "Marshmallow," she reported. "Not bad. Thanks, professor." Although, she had a feeling she had just eaten something that would transfigure her into a coffee table or something...

Kate found a seat and began making her name tag.
