She didn't have owl because her parents only allowed her to own one pet, either it was owl or another familiar. She chose to own a cat that she named it Preston and she loved it. And she thought that having Preston as her pet was enough.

Ava grabbed something from her pocket, perhaps there were things that she could feed the owls. Bertie botts, hopefully they're gonna like them. She put some beans to her palm and offered it to the owl near her. Hehehehe, it's so cute watching it eating the Bertie botts beans. She was distracted by feeding the owls and didn't realize that there's someone called out her name. Once she turned back, she noticed that Henry was there. "Oh, Hi Henry!" She smiled to the Hufflepuff boy. "Yeah, I just sent one to my brother." It seemed like he wanted to send one too since he had the parchment. "How's you? Haven't seen you around lately," Maybe because he's in Hufflepufff while she's a Gryffindor and Teddy in Ravenclaw... Sigh, Teddy. Ava was still mad at her twin brother.
