Oookay. Ethan spaced out as soon as Admiral Flamsteed spoke. His answer was pretty elementary, wasn’t it? Well, whatever. He wasn’t really bothered by things...and Astronomy in general. He just doesn’t get it, so he’ll just remain quiet and try to look busy. He’s good at that at least.

Then...sand explosions happened. Uh-huh. Not impressed. That too was elementary. But instead of raising his hand and offering an answer, he got his parchment and jotted down his observation. He was sure that what will come out of his mouth would be a bunch of nonsense even if it made sense to him. ‘Answer 1, Dwayne Johnson. Answer 2, the size of the objects. Answer 3, bigger mass equals bigger impact.’ Yup. Nailed it.

Shortly after writing his answer, the Admiral continued to explain and verified the answers. Well, he didn’t even bother to check if his answers were right and just copied the written stuff that was now on the blackboard.

Oh and another demonstration? Ethan watched—since it was the only thing he could do at the moment, and wrote down his observations too. ‘Answer one, varied heights equals varied diameter. Answer two, yes. Answer three, more velocity.’ Direct to the point, eh? The correct answers too were copied without confirming his answers. It was pretty pointless wasn’t it?

Moving on...

Oh? Activity that actually requires movement? Well, about time! Ethan didn’t need to be told twice as he crammed his notes and quill inside his bag, and stuck it to his chair. Once that was done, he got out of his seat, kicked back his table and chair and watched it descend on the ground.

Floating and turning upside down, Ethan got his wand in his hand and listened to the professor’s instructions. Well, the rules weren’t too confusing, thankfully. He knew that he and the rest of the Slytherins would do well in this activity. Yep. Getting his own pack of ‘meteoroids’ Ethan took a peek and procured one green marble out from it and positioned it, aiming to hit planet number one.

As soon as he heard the word engage, Ethan muttered the spell, “Tikalas” and watched his marble land on planet number 3 instead of planet number 1.

Huh. Lucky shot.
