Star Trek. Mm. Owen knew of the reference, of course. He'd seen bits and pieces of the movies back at home. He knew his stepfather even had some merchandise, but unlike him Owen wasn't such a die-hard fan. But it was tolerable. It was a remnant of home and these days he needed those remnants because being surrounded by everything magic was just so overwhelming.
Anyways, Sir Isaac Newton first law of motion was to be blamed for why they were on rocking chairs? An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. Owen had it memorized. Remember the stepfather? ...Yup. So, they'll be staying that way unless there was an unbalanced force, hmm? He hoped that force would come soon. Then the Admiral was showing them a rock. Pebbles? Owen's grin grew. Their Professor definitely knew what he was doing. And Owen was up for adopting a rock. He could probably put it inside Sushi's fish bowl. So the two of them could serve as each other's company. Great plan, eh?
Oh, Admiral sir was asking them a question. His brain was actually working, and he had an answer. Somewhat. Owen raised his hand and spoke up, "Because space rocks...they collided against each other like really hard, Admiral Flamsteed." He was also doing the whole colliding motion with his loose fits hitting each other, "Then they formed this very large and very hot ocean of boiling rocks which later became the earth once it cooled off." That's why rocks played a big role in earthly things. "Everything came from rocks."
