One of the highlights of the shindig of course would be the sorting. Lots of attitude were revealed during the ceremony, and Ethan enjoyed being a witness. He'd clap here and there, even chuckled at the tiny little girl who was sorted in Gryffindor but was in denial. "The Sorting Hat is never wrong..." Well, in his case, maybe it's an exception?

Ethan took a break and directed his attention to his fellows. Holy cow, is that Dante? The blond seventh year did squint at him first, and couldn't remember one of the young ones looking too fine. Wait hold up, Dante is a Barrington, so probably it's in his blood? Yeah, he met Nigel when he was in his third year, and to Ethan, the guy was pretty cool...and good looking, because of hair reasons. Uh-huh. Convinced that it was Dante, Ethan gave him a sup nod and returned his high five. Cool kid is cool. "Looking good, D." that kid was meant to break hearts...like most Slytherins. Hehehe. "It's nice to see you back, and well." After the Acromantula Attack last term, he was happy to see old faces again.

Just seconds ago this table had been EMPTY! What happened here?! Shifting a little in her seat the fourth year turned her attention towards yet another person sitting near her. She didn't know him all that well but he never did anything to bug her so that made him cool in her book. So Ethan got a nod in greeting from her. It was something at least to show she WAS paying attention. Even if she didn't look it, when she raised a hand and quickly rubbed a palm to her eye in a semi sleepy manner.

Oh! Lookit! Her newest friend was officially a snake! Hady grinned at Colt giving him a nod of welcome when she saw his smile. "Nice to have you joining us Colt, you'll like it." She was sure of it. And if for some reason he didn't like being a snake...well then there was something seriously wrong with him.

The brunettes gaze had only shifted from the table for a second. Barely a second as she glanced around the room before she noticed blonde hair out the corner of her eye. Blonde hair belonging to a fellow female snake and dorm mate. Not feeling the need to say anything since Maggie hadn't spoken either she simply returned the girls greeting with a simply nod of her head. She still wasn't sure what was going on here...one moment they appeared to be friends and then the other she had no clue. It was going to be day by day for her with this.

Just as she was nodding her head towards Maggie she saw Abby walking towards the table. Knowing the slightly older girl pretty well Hady gave her a tiny smile and a small wave. She was welcome to come sit with the growing group here if she liked.

Another nod. That seemed like the famous greeting tonight. Not that she minded one bit. Dante wasn't one she spoke to really it they had really spoken at all but hey he was a snake so yes he got a nod as well. Hello.

Aaww! Another firstie! Hady couldn't really help but give the kid a slight smile when she walked towards her. "Hey, welcome to the snakes," she greeted simply. There really wasn't much to say there. He'd learn what the snakes were all about soon enough.

A quick glance around once more found no one else to greet. That was fine by her. Forgetting her locket for a moment Hady went about tucking a strand of green hair behind her ear. She knew it wouldn't stay there, it never did but it was worth a shot for moment.

As he continued to drink from his goblet, he took notice of Hady. Yes, well, they haven't talked much, but a fellow Slytherin was a friend, so...Ethan smiled back at the younger Snake, and tilted his head when he saw her rub her face. "Is everthing alright?" Surely, she's just tired from the trip, yes?

He was hungry and wanted it now! His stomach growled loudly in agreement. Lucas swung his legs and looked around, hoping for some food soon.

There was a girl about his age not so far away. He wondered if she was a first year too because she was glancing around and seemed to be a little amazed. He smiled and waved at her. "Hey!" He looked back over at Echo and Colt then back at her.

He spotted someone that was his age... FINALLY! He beamed and plopped down. "Hey! I'm Lucas! I just got sorted into this house too!" Lucas beamed and watched as the boy tapped his things on the edge of the table. That looks so much fun! He decided to join in with a beam. Tap tap TapTAPPAtaptaptap tAP TAP TAP TAPTAPTAPTAP tap tap tap. He wasn't going by the boy's beat but a random one. He beamed and looked around at the table before looking at him.

Oh and look! One of the newly sorted SLYTHERINS! YESSS!!! Ethan made room for the tiny kid and gave him a beamy smile. "Hey there! WelcomeToSlytherinWhatsYourName??" he's excited, can you tell?
