Sitting here meant that he had a GOOOOOOD view of the staff table and the rest of the Sortings going on. Cheers kept running out but he also found himself getting bored VERY quickly. Mainly because he knew, well, no one. Hardly anyone. The people he knew were already sorted so...

... picking up a knife and a fork, Phillip started tapping them against the edge of the table. Tap tap tAP TAP TAPPA TAP TAP.

Cassidy glanced over to where one of the newly-sorted Firsties sat down, not too far away, but not right next to her. Deciding she may as well be friendly, she slid down a few places to talk to him.

If he could even hear her over the tapping of his cutlery.

"Having fun there? I can't say I was this excited last year."
