On a normal business day, Camden Banner could send his mail from one of the various owls he kept on hand for such purposes. It was pointless being an entrepreneur if you didn't even have the means to send and receive orders, pay receipts, or let the bank know you were going to be late on your loan payment. This week, though, it seemed as if he never had an owl on hand when he needed one, and so the man was forced to bring a stack of parchment roles down the Alley.

And pay someone else's owl to deliver his mail. Didn't seem right or fair at all, did it?
