So...

No one was going to fess up and admit they took Bob, well she had her ways to find him. As she glanced around the room she had her thoughts on who had taken him.

And what was with Angel, though? O__O

The Hufflepuff was impressed with his Professor's 'sight'. She could actually sense Bob? That was SUPER cool! He tilted his head at her. He was confused. Why was she accusing them like that? He never thought she would like that though. Maybe she was feeling the pressure of loosing Bob.

Okaaaay, so no Plastromancy? Alrightey then. But Adi did like the lowered lights. He liked eerie shadows casting about. Anwayyyy, back to Cassie's question. He raised his hand. "It's a method used to find offenders in a criminal act. That's what you meant when you said we'll find Bob another way...'' Ehh, that made sense but Adi was sure none of his classmates had the turtle.
She gave Adi a few snaps, "It is a method that helps find offenders in a criminal act and it's exactly what I meant by finding him another way. If no one is going to confess then I have other ways. You never lie to a Divinor they always find the truth."

It was a relief to hear that Bob was alive since the Professor could sense him. She remembered hearing about that ability back in Third Year during one of the SNAC meetings. If he was alive, where could he be? She didn't think that any of her fellow classmates had done the deed. It HAD to be the thing that had attacked the Hippogriffs, killed the pet bird, and rocknapped Pebbles.

As the word 'Plastromancy' was erased from the board and replaced with 'Coscinomancy', Lux frowned; she did not like the sound of this one bit.

After a moment she raised her hand. "It's a form of Divination that is used to determine the guilty party of a criminal act." So basically it was going to be used to determine who had taken Bob.
"Very good Lux, this form has been used many times in courts and practiced by wizards to figure out who was lying and who was telling the truth." Exactly what she would be doing today.

His curiosity was piqued and he became more excited than fearful when he'd heard the Professor scream. What a sound it was. He had not heretofore met another like it or known that sound had such power of resonance.

The lights were back on and he quickly let go of Beverly Wayne. Also, the ball had slowed to a full and complete stop. Bob was outty.

Accusations were flying and he didn't find them unjust or illogical. Bob was somewhere in this room. And one of these students had him. Maybe an animal lover who didn't trust that Bob would not be used in someway or another for Plastromancy. He looked around at mostly the witches in the room...'Cept Bev. If it wasn't a dragon she wasn't very likely to give a murtlaps bottom about it.

He could think of several ways of retrieving the turtle. Starting to search all dark spaces in the room for starts, maybe even summoning the turtle, but it was far more exciting to watch a courtroom drama so he left that be and raised a hand to add to the answers given by the class. "It's a very old practice. Soom muggles thought they knew how it wehrked and would actually use it to determine who was guilty or innocent in early forms of joostuss."
"Oh my friend it can and will determine who the guilty is. I have practiced this form of Divination many times and it is always accurate in what I need to find out." She actually enjoyed her practice in this form so this was a bit exciting.

Well, she didn't have a purse so that would be one less thing to search. Although, she really felt this whole thing was silly. Now, if a unicorn had gone missing then it would be wise to hog tie AJ until you found it because she would be totally guilty. But this was a turtle. Not something she was willing to stick her neck on the line for. She knew how to choose her battles.

Cassie had them there. The whole pet rock thing was pretty silly, but AJ wasn't one to be judgy. Everybody had their things. "What if you can still feel him because he hasn't been a snake snack yet?" Not trying to freak anybody out buuuut maybe they should be trying a bit harder to save Bob's life. Yeah? If AJ was going to go around snatching up rocks and turtles she was going to have a good time with it. If you snarfed them down right away... well, where was the fun in that? Savoring the moment. That was what she was talking about.

It was dark again. Only this time she could still see. This was getting interesting again. "Professor, can we call on the spirits to help locate Bob?" What? She was totes setting the mood for that.

Coscinomancy? Uh, no.

"Sounds like a conspiracy theory to me..." Yup, the professor had lost her marbles. But, could they for real call on the spirits?
"Bob is not a snack, I would not be able to hear him and sense him if he had been a snack. He is still in this room, I truly believe this." She knew what she was doing the question was, did they? []b "Spirits do not do those sorts of things, but Conscinomancy will do exactly what we need. It is not a conspiracy theory."[/b]

Angel raised her hand. "Professor it uses a suspended sieve doesn't it." Angel wasn't sure and her mind was blank with what was going on with Bob. "It's too help you decide who is the culprit right?"

"Some did practice with suspended sieves but it has evolved to use different sorts of sieves and not just suspended, some sit them in front of the person or people that are needed to be questioned."

Oh, now it was a snake? So scaaary. Beverly Wayne was unimpressed. The only snake they should worry about was right here, with a Cutty Mordaunt who had been clinging to her moments ago. They boy was smart though 'cause nothing would get pass her and hurt her friend, just FYI. Her patience was running low, though.

Coscinomancy.

Her eyes narrowed. "This is all part of the lesson," she whispered low enough so only Cutty could hear her. This was an act. Had Morgan been frightened for Bob's safety then she wouldn't be drinking tea. At least, Beverly wouldn't. She'd be blasting walls for her creatures.

Her hand went up into the air. "A tool--a sieve is used to perform this form of divination. According to some, if the sieve rotated at the sound of the accused person's name, they were guilty of whatever crime." Which is redundant. "Tongs or shears were also used, but in different manners."

Morgan had Bob.
Bev got a small smile and snaps, "Very good, the sieve does rotate if the person is guilty. That was the best way to find if someone was lying. There are many other ways, but for today this will help us find the turtlenapper."

She needed a twin or a really good partner in crime. Wait she has one of those already.

That was the thing with twins they looked alike. Maybe one of them did it, or both? But she wasn't going to make any accusations. That was what made you look guilty. Cinna couldn't help but to laugh when Cassie said that to Kace. Maybe he did do it.

Oh... Coscinomancy? Oh she knew this one. Finding out a thief or proving someone's guilt. "Professor don't you use a sieve or scissors. Which rotate toward the guilty party or person in question."
Her eyes moved to Cinna and sat for a moment she nodded her head, "Scissors were used as well as other sharp objects to scare the guilty to come clean before it moved towards them, but some just try until they can't try anymore to keep their secret a secret."

"In the 17th century is when Coscinomancy began in Greece. The people used a sieve to determine if a person was guilty of crime. With Coscinomancy the guilty party will sit in a chair and the sieve is either hung or set in front of the person." She walked around for the dramatics looking and eyeing each as she passed. "The leader or judge would ask the guilty party if they had done the crime, if they said they did not the Divinor would step up. Using their wand, or as Cutty said the muggles would recite magical conjurations over the sieve." Were they keeping up so far?

"Now since we weren't going to do this to begin with I will need to grab the sieves so give me a moment." She headed for the back of the room and pulled out a cart from the closet with sieves. "Each of you will take a sieve for you and your partner." Talking as she moved the cart up to the front of the room.

"Can anyone guess what spell we say with our wand touching the sieve?"
