Benny hadn't expected Professor Morgan's scream anymore than the sudden darkness. At least she seemed calm when the lights had returned. Unlike a lot of others including Angel beside him. He almost moved to reassure her but wasn't sure about being familair in a classroom setting. His attention however was turned away as the professor and many students noticed that Bob the Tortoise was missing from his pen.
Had he been pet-napped?
The Gryffindor didn't even want to think about what AJ was saying about Bob being a victim like Pebbles. "I don't think we have him..." he commented, agreeing with his friends about the fact that the class was indeed turtleless and not pulling a prank. Who would be so brash anyway? Taking a professor's pet from right in front of her and possibly causing the darkness to cover it up.
It was then Angel seemed to go off the deep end in reaction to what was going on. "Easy Angel..." he said, finally taking her hand and giving it a reassuring squeeze, not caring about the others. "We'll find Bob," Benny assured her, inwardly hoping it was true. But right now he was trying to calm his girlfriend down, especially as the tears moistened her eyes.
