In her experience, whenever anyone shouted something along those lines it meant that they truly needed someone. So Tora stopped for a moment and considered going back to talk, but she didn't. She had been there for Adrienne. Not anymore. Tora didn't need to say anything in the silence that followed. She’d made her point. Deliberately moving forward again Tora turned the corner at the end of the hall and didn't look back. By the time Adrienne voiced her feeble apology, Tora was already gone.
