However this came from his girlfriend and thus it was okay. Tidying up the front desk he left a little note in case there was an emergency and then rounded the counter to where Cassie was standing. "Yes, let's go over to the study tables. How does physiognmy work exactly?" Leo wondered out loud as he silently gave Cassie’s left hand a squeeze for the compliment before letting go. Starting to work towards the study tables he wondered. "Is physiognmy a divinatory art you can practice on yourself in front of a mirror or do you need help from someone else?"

He was going to go over as well, YAY! Cassie smiled, but didn’t try to hide her excitement to have Leo join them. Squeezing his hand back and then placing her hand back to her side she grinned as she walked, “Well not exactly. The entire purpose is to really get the feel of a person’s personality. It’s used to help interpret a person’s past. This helps in criminal cases especially. A diviner is very good at this type of reading. “ She continued to walk towards the study tables as they spoke. “So hopefully you haven’t done anything wrong in your past Mr. Kitridge.” She gave him a joking smile as she sat in a seat across from Ethan.

She watched as Ethan opened a book up quickly and started before they had even sat down. “We have a great student here, he is so eager to learn.” She adored that of her students, always so eager. Looking toward the book she pointed, “See how the different lines form on the face. If a person has been feeling guilty about something, which could say they are guilty of a crime, you’ll see more lines up around their eyes from the worry. Even the meanest person as a small conscious inside.” She at least believed that, so it would show on their face if they had truly done something wrong.

Leo listened attentively as Cassie explained the purpose of the divination form that they were going to be helping Ethan practice today as they made their way over to the study area. In his mind he thought it sounded like something that was neat if it worked but he was unsure of how accurate a divinatory reading could be. Raising a brow he asked surprised in response to Cassie's comment. "Is the reading really so accurate that law enforcement employees can rely on it when they look for suspects for crimes?"

Not really thinking about it Leo chose to sit down in the seat next to Cassie and across from Ethan. He figured it was better if he sat there then on the side so that Ethan got a good view of his face and Cassie could easily demonstrate on it. Putting his hands in his lap he smiled good-naturedly eyes flickering from Ethan to Cassie. "Haven’t we all pulled some pranks and stunts in our youth? Aside from that I don’t think I have many skeletons in my past except for a too big passion for books."

Looking toward drawing on the book Leo asked "So i just need to sit still and you two will do the rest?"
Well, the Library was very quiet that afternoon, that’s why he could hear bits of Professor Cassie’s words that were directed to the Librarian. The Slytherin flipped the page of the book as he subconsciously nodded his head in agreement. As Ethan read the next page, he completely tuned everyone’s voices out again and scribbled notes on his notebook like there was no tomorrow. There were so many things that need to be mastered, and he felt like he doesn’t have all the time in the world to do so.

Patience. He ought to learn that too.

The moment Mr. Kitridge sat down, Ethan had let go of his self-inking quill and started to study the man’s face. It was best to do it, when your ‘suspect’ isn’t aware, right? To be honest, the Slytherin was quite please to have a woman amongst them. That way, she could serve as a distraction, while he gets down to business. What made Ethan more excited was the fact that he can do two things at the same time. He realized he could study the person in front of him and start to make the right assumptions, while using his mouth to say things that will either confirm his hypothesis, or distract his suspect totally.

The Slytherin rubbed his chin thoughtfully as he considered Mr. Kitridge’s statement. Can the Law Enforcement rely on the practice? “They can if the suspect can’t talk...or chose not to talk because his life is on the line.” He said as he continued to study the man’s face. “It shouldn’t hurt if one had a different skill in one’s arsenal, right? And it’s unusual so I suppose not all can do it.” Talk about specialty. Ethan, since birth was always fascinated with unusual things...and how these things can work to his advantage.

Ethan picked up his self inking quill and jotted down some notes.

“Let’s see...” Mhm...Ethan jotted down words on his notebook, and he’d occasionally consult his book and reference it with the things he wrote down. “I’ll...start with Mr. Kitridge’s WONDERFUL forehead.” Ethan shifted in his seat as he looked down at his notes once more, and grinned at the librarian. “You have a wide forehead, which means that you have a very busy, thinking brain. Since it is also high, this could also indicate intelligence, plus your upper forehead is a bit bulged, meaning you have good memory.” So...the Sorting Hat was right in placing the man in Ravenclaw. Good! “The lines on your forehead then support the theory that you’re always thinking, because, just like what you said, you’re always reading a book...and perhaps, debating with its contents whether it has the wrong or right information.” Really, the Headmistress was also right in appointing Mr. Kitridge as their librarian! “That being said, it confirms your intellectual capacity. In conclusion, you are...or if I don’t know you, might be a very smart man. Smart in what way? That, I don’t know.” Ethan grinned and looked at his notes again, in case he missed some important points. “Cool isn’t it? With that bit of information, whether it’s true or not, can lead a detective to a temporary conclusion. The interrogator need not ask any questions whatsoever...just, educated assumptions.”

If he were a kid still, he would have ran around the room, waving his arms above his head, just to show his excitement. “Professor Cassie? What do you think?”
