Janelle listened as Professor Tanner explained the correct answer to the previous question. Well, she had certainly missed that one. Annnd she certainly hadn't guessed that the number they were reducing was a phone number.

Janelle copied down the new phone numbers and wondered what they belonged to. They'd probably find out after they finished working. She'd just have to wait. In the meantime, the numbers weren't going to reduce themselves so she started adding them together.

With her calculations complete, Janelle looked them over. Two numbers got a thumbs up and one got a big thumbs down. Janelle wasn't sure whether she was supposed to write down her opinion or give her thoughts out loud. She decided to write her answer so she went back to her notes and added a brief yay or nay.

Janelle noticed the area code on the second and bad karmic number. She knew that area code because she had family with that same area code. Knowing that 202 was the area code for Washington, DC, she wondered if that might be the number for the White House. Whoever had that number could sure use a more positive one.
