Thornton hesitated for a good long outside before deciding to go into Dervish and Banges. First of all, it

"Hey, Maddie," he said, spotting his friend and walking over toward her. He was grateful they were back on.. comfortable terms? and that he didn't feel the need to turn around and walk back out of the shop. Didn't mean that he still didn't sometimes feel awkward. Slipping his hands into his pockets, his eyes scanned the shelves near where she was standing.
