Penelope jotted down a few notes about the pros and cons of telephones and what later inventions were possible because of the telephone. It was interesting how the invention of the telephone allowed better communication and led to new inventions. Looking up at the picture on the board, Penelope studied the labels of the different parts. That phone looked about a hundred years old. Penelope copied the diagram into her notes. There was the base and the dial pad and the handset and the handset cord... Penelope finished labeling her diagram and waited silently for the class to move on to the activity.
